| The Institute for Rehabilitation and
Research (TIRR), in Houston’s Medical Center, 1333 Moursund Ave.
Houston, TX 77030 has an Outpatient Polio Clinic, and the only one in
Southeast Texas. Comprehensive medical and physical therapy evaluations
are provided to determine or confirm the diagnosis of Post-Polio
Syndrome (PPS).
Education about PPS, further medical testing, energy conservation strategies, adaptive/assistive equipment, and therapies is also provided. The Post-Polio Clinic also offers periodic follow-ups to all patients. This clinic has two Physicians available for appointments.
